Our Red Cabin is an ideal retreat for couples. The main floor sports the living room, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, dining area, bath with a full shower and bedroom with a comfy king bed for two. There is also a queen bed in the loft area. Relax to the sounds and smells of the pine forest while strolling together along the hiking paths and fishing at the pond.
Unwind each night by soaking in your own, private hot tub. You will find yourself coming back to this cabin year after year, like so many of our guests looking for some time out for romance!

Cozy, relaxing and beautiful
This is my boyfriend's and I second time staying at the Fronteir Log Cabins. We love it here. Last visit we stayed in the blue cabin and this time we stayed in the red. It was the perfect cozy, winter getaway. Will definitely return for another stay.

This was our 2nd time here. We loved the decorations with the Christmas season. It's cozy, calm and quiet. We enjoyed the hot tub and laying in front of the fireplace. It's very clean and smells nice. We also like that we didn't have to think about morning coffee because it's all there for you.
The definition of coziness!
The cabin was adorable—decorated for fall in every nook and cranny. The beds were comfortable, the sofa throws were soft, and the fireplace was toasty. It was beautiful inside and out. I would come back in a heartbeat.

A weekend in the Red Cabin was the perfect getaway.
After many years of visiting Frontier Log Cabins, we had to stop due to health issues. With those behind us, we felt the need to return. We hadn't visited since Philip became the new owner and were wondering if it would still be the same. I'm happy to stay it was better than expected. We've been there in the summer and fall. I hope to go back again soon to experience winter and snow in the cabin in the woods.

Unlike other cabin areas, this is exactly what we were looking for. The cabins were far enough apart you could barely see, let alone hear another soul. It was quiet, the trail to the lake was each to walk. Sitting by the lake was so relaxing. We will be coming back when we need a life detox!

A quiet hideaway in the woods!
The location is great and the cabin was SO clean! It has all the kitchen supplies you need to cook almost any type of meal. It was nice to have so much control of the interior temp of the cabin (with a fireplace and a mini split) as the early spring temps varied greatly from morning to afternoon. We appreciated walking around the paths on the property as a cool down from our longer state park hikes before hopping in the hot tub.

The cabins and the property they are on are awesome! We particularly enjoy the on-site Hardwood & Lost Canyon trails. The fish pond area is beautiful. The location of the cabins is just minutes from Laurelville and its grocery stores and restaurants. We can also make it to almost all the HH attractions in less than a 20-minute, scenic drive.Having stayed in cabins in the Hocking area for nearly 25 years, I've seen many and these are by far the best for cleanliness and updated amenities.

Very clean cabin loved the way it was decorated. Owners was very nice and helpful. Loved the pond and the fish. Felt like I was far away from everything yet we was very close to everything if we needed something. Just a perfect place.

Impeccably clean and very private. We enjoyed the trails and even spent some time fly fishing at the pond. Very quiet and secluded. The charcoal grill was clean and easy to use. The shower and hot tub were very clean. We especially appreciated the screened in porch around the hot tub. We will be back!

Everything was perfect, as always. You do a fantastic job there, and your attention to detail is very much appreciated. If I must offer a bit of criticism, here are two items: (1) stop using single ply toilet paper, and (2) the bathroom door (in the Red Cabin) has a little trouble latching. Both complaints are very minor, but we figured you probably want to know. Hope you have a great year, and we will surely be back. Thank You!
It was a peaceful and relaxing time for two people that are always on the go.
Our stay was perfect, clean comfortable and quiet. The hot tub was great with a beautiful view. The kitchen had everything needed to cook full meals. The bathroom was fully stock and clean. Really we couldn't have asked for much more.

This was our sixth visit to the Red Cabin. Every visit is better than the last! The cabin is always inviting and clean. They definitely go out of their way to make your stay very memorable. This is the weekend that we look the most forward to every year that we get to spend at the Red Cabin!

The cabin was well maintained and clean with the modern luxuries of home. The trails and pond on the property are a nice added bonus. The owner was friendly and explained things well. Definitely would stay again in the future.
Was Almost Perfect.
The surroundings were wonderful, the beds comfy. We couldn't turn down the AC, despite trying different remotes. The Amazon app on the TV wouldn't take my code that works for me at home. YouTube would spin a good while and not keep streaming sometimes. We don't have Netflix. Satellite TV there would help a lot. I wanted to take a bath and not a shower but the shower sprayed at half force anyhow even when "turned off".If these problems were addresses we'd probably return regularly.

Very pleased in every regard, from the cleanliness, equipped kitchen and high end charcoal grill, hiking trails and pond, abundance of wildlife to watch, etc.This cabin is preserved history. You can run your hands across axe marks made around 200 years ago by men who hewed these logs by hand, while still enjoying the heat, a/c, indoor plumbing, and electricity.We're looking forward already to our next stay.

Lovely grounds and cabins. Bonus is that there are a couple nice trails and a sweet pond. We got lucky, met an fed sweet Grace a fawn that they had rescued.

We had a wonderful stay at the Frontier Log Cabins, specifically the Red Cabin. The owner, Teresa Smith, gave us the tour. Explained where we could find everything throughout the cabin. She showed us the hot tub and fireplace, including all settings. Teresa brought fresh towels, delivered in cute little baskets each day. The cabin had everything. All we brought were our belongings, food for the fridge, and a Crockpot. All other cook ware and utensils were there. The property included a sweet walking trail that wrapped around a pond at one end. It gave us enough outdoor time for a January walk in the snow. We hope to return again soon !
